Mark Jones, PhD is presently the director of the Employee Assistance Program at Union Pacific Railroad located in Omaha, Nebraska. Dr. Jones has been the EAP director at UPRR since March 05. Dr. Jones’s job duties at UPRR include overseeing a service delivery model covering 50,000 employees and their dependents. Prior to his tenure at UPRR. Dr. Jones was the Vice President of Clinical Services Maplewood Behavioral Health. Dr. Jones has also served as the Clinical Director of Behavioral Health programs at Father Flanagan’s Boys Home at Boys Town, Nebraska. Dr. Jones has a bachelor’s degree from Creighton University, a master’s degree in Human Development from the University of Kansas and a doctorate degree in Education from the University of Nebraska –Lincoln. He has served on the faculty at Creighton University and Bellevue University. Dr Jones is an author of several published academic articles and has been an invited speaker at numerous national conferences.
Dr. Jones and his wife, Paula are the parents of three adult age daughters, two of whom work for Union Pacific. Ali DeBruhl is in the Risk Management Department and Whitney, who works in Marketing and Sales Daughter Anna is employed at Smith and Nephew as a medical sales representative. Dr. Jones was a scholarship student athlete at Creighton University and is a 2007 inductee into the Iowa High School Athletic Association Hall of Fame. All three of his daughter’s competed the Division 1 collegiate level. Dr Jones also serves as the Sports Performance Consultant for Creighton Athletics. He has also coached at the youth, select club , high school and college levels.
